GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) -If you’re into the unique, the quirky, and the unusual, Gainesville’s Oddities Market was the place to be today.

Many people explored hundreds of one-of-a-kind things, from taxidermy to handmade jewelry.

“I personally love strange things; I love taxidermy, I love monsters, I love fantasy, I love little things like that,” said Aryaunnah Irizarry, an attendee. “People here are really nice, and I love that. It’s very welcoming; you don’t feel like you’re being judged.”

For many, the event was a chance to discover something unexpected and leave with a story to tell.
