ASCENSION PARISH, La. (WAFB) - Deputies are investigating after a statue was stolen from Houmas House in Ascension Parish.
According to the Ascension Parish Sheriff’s Office, the theft of the statue happened on Saturday night, September 6.
The statue is of Abraham Lincoln and is 64 pounds and solid silver, a post on social media from Houmas House and Gardens states. The post adds that the statue is rare and was created by Gustav Borghum.
