The opening weekend of college football offered results that were sure to shake up the rankings in part because so many ranked teams played each other. But the second week arguably created more fireworks with massive upsets and blowouts.

The biggest matchup of the week — the Michigan Wolverines against the Oklahoma Sooners — ended in Michigan’s first defeat. As a result, Oklahoma saw the biggest boost of any team in the rankings, jumping up to No. 13. The Wolverines barely stayed inside the rankings, coming in at No. 23, eight spots lower than last week.

Around the Big Ten, most of the programs handled business relatively easily. Ohio State and Penn State shut out their FCS opponents, Illinois had a late boost to defeat Duke in a tough road matchup, Indiana won easily against Kennesaw St
