MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (WSMV) - A home sustained heavy smoke damage after a fire started in the garage on Friday night, according to the Murfreesboro Fire Rescue Department (MFRD).

MFRD responded to Bowers Lane on Friday night for reports of a structure fire.

When crews arrived at the home, they found smoke and flames coming from the garage.
