VERNON Conn. (WFSB) - A person was arrested after a pursuit in Vernon on Friday morning.
Troopers tried to make a traffic stop in the area of Baker Road near Reservoir Road in Vernon, but the car did not pull over and was last seen heading towards South Frontage Road, state police said.
Police found the suspected vehicle in a driveway in Manchester and were able to locate the driver and a foot pursuit was initiated.
During the pursuit officers saw the suspect getting rid of a firearm and left it in a trash can.
K9 Viper was called to assist in the last known area the suspect was seen and was quickly found hiding under a deck of a residence on McKee Street.
The individual was placed under arrest.
