A Michigan energy company has workers at a Georgia manufacturing plant recently raided by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents.
Immigration authorities said they detained 475 people in Thursday’s raid, most of them South Korean nationals, at the plant in Ellabelle, Georgia., near Savannah, where South Korean automaker Hyundai makes electric vehicles (EVs), the Associated Press reported.
The AP said more than 300 South Korean workers detained will be released and brought home , the South Korean government announced Sunday, Sept. 7.
