Police Investigate Following Afternoon Shooting On Emerson Avenue South

ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – An investigation is underway after a young adult man suffered a gunshot wound and crashed his vehicle into a parked car on Emerson Avenue South this afternoon.

Shortly after 2 p.m., a vehicle careened into a parked car outside Robco Transmission & Auto at 3101 Emerson Avenue South. St. Petersburg Police and rescue teams arrived at the scene to find the driver, a young adult man, with a gunshot wound. He was immediately transported to Orlando Health Bayfront Hospital for treatment. His condition is unknown at this time.

A child who was also in the vehicle was not injured but was taken to Johns Hopkins All Children’s Hospital as a precaution.
