American Airlines and Delta Air Lines are the US's top two domestic operators by flights. Schedule analysis using OAG data shows they—or their regional units—have launched or relaunched eight routes in two days in early September. Elsewhere, at the start of the month, Breeze Airways commenced ten routes in four days , Allegiant introduced its one and only intra-Tennessee service , etc.

On September 3, American Eagle restarted flying from New York LaGuardia to Atlanta and Madison and began Washington Reagan to Houston Intercontinental . On September 8, a day after this article was published, Delta will launch three routes from New York JFK, along with Minneapolis-Westchester and Salt Lake City-Little Rock .
