Joplin's softball team showed resilience after a tough Friday, logging two wins to claim first in the consolation bracket of the 21st annual Paige Neal/Christina Freeman Softball Tournament Saturday at the Joplin Athletic Complex.
The Eagles (7-3) made an early statement in their first game Saturday against McDonald County, logging five runs in the bottom of the first en route to a 10-6 win. Joplin added another run in the second and scored four times in the fourth. ×
