GREEN BAY, WI — Dan Campbell warned this could happen, that the Detroit Lions could start slow in their 2025 NFL season opener Sunday against the Green Bay Packers and maybe this season in general.

And while it’s rarely wise to make big-picture conclusions after one game, the Lions ’ 27-13 blowout loss to the Packers in Week 1 was itself a collection of most everyone’s worst fears come true.
