Convicted triple-murderer Erin Patterson has received a life sentence with a non-parole period of 33 years for the murders of three people she poisoned with a beef Wellington lunch at her home in 2023.

Patterson will still have the opportunity to appeal against Supreme Court Justice Christopher Beale's decision, no matter the length of the custodial sentence to be delivered on September 8, after a jury found her guilty of the three murders.

It comes after a jury heard evidence from more than 50 witnesses about a fatal lunch she cooked in July 2023 at her Leongatha, regional Victoria home, that claimed the lives of Heather Wilkinson and Gail and Don Patterson.
