Baltimore Ravens running back Derrick Henry was the Buffalo Bills' Kryptonite during the 2024 NFL season. That trend carried over into the early stages of their 2025 matchup.
Henry ran roughshod over the Bills in the first half of the Ravens' Week 1 matchup with their AFC rival. He ripped off separate gains of 30 and 49 yards in the first half alone and could challenge his career high in rushing yards if the second half goes well.
While Henry continued to run well in the second half, he made a key gaffe late in the contest. He lost a fumble on Baltimore's penultimate drive, which set the Bills up to score and played a major role in Buffalo's 15-point fourth-quarter comeback.
Here's what to know about Henry's performance in the 41-40 loss against the Bills and how it compares to some of his best outings.
Derrick Henry stats today
Henry racked up 123 rushing yards in the first half of the Ravens' Week 1 game against the Bills. Buffalo did a better job of slowing him after halftime, but he still posted solid stats during the contest.
Below is a look at his stats from the game:

- Rushing yards: 169
- Rushing TDs: 2

As mentioned, Henry had a critical fumble on Baltimore's penultimate possession. He has also logged one reception for 13 yards during the game.

Henry's biggest highlight against the Bills came on his 30-yard touchdown run. He was able to clear Buffalo safety Cole Bishop out of his path with a crushing stiff arm.

Most rushing yards in an NFL game
