EDINBURG — Commemorating next year’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence, “Give Me Liberty: Virginia & The Forging of the Nation” highlights Virginia’s leading role in the American Revolution.

Curator Dan Harshman said he thought the exhibit would be beneficial for the local museum and its community.
“Beginning with the 1770s, right up to 1775, with the start of the war, Virginia was pretty important — think of all the names that came out of our state,” said Harshman, who is the mayor of Edinburg.
