Country singer Ryan Jewel had a big Sunday.

In front of thousands of football fans, the Front Royal native sang the National Anthem before the start of the National Football League's matchup between the Green Bay Packers and the Detroit Lions at Lambeau Field in Wisconsin.

“It’s gonna be hard to top that one. It was a lot of fun — seeing everybody’s reactions, giving everybody high fives as I left the field,” said Jewel, 35, on Monday.

Noting that the Packers’ Lambeau Field had 81,000 in attendance for Sunday’s game, Jewel said that the 90-second song was both the “biggest concert and the shortest concert I’ve played.”

He said that while he performs the National Anthem a couple of times a year, he has never before performed it “on this scale.”
