RALEIGH, N.C. (WNCN) -- Studies show veterans are 58 percent more likely to die by suicide than their civilian counterparts. That's why Stop Soldier Suicide, with an office in Raleigh, is on a mission to raise awareness of suicide prevention month to hopefully drive action and change.

Jared Zamora, a veteran, has found his life's purpose at Stop Soldier Suicide. His journey is a testament to the transformative power of service.

"This is the most fulfilling work I have ever done in my life," he shared.

He is the Wellness Center Operations Manager with Stop Soldier Suicide, working primarily out of their Roger Wellness Center.

"We offer evidence-based therapy to veterans and service members who are experiencing thoughts and working one-on-one through challenges," he said.
