The Washington Commanders kicked off their second season of the Adam Peters/Dan Quinn/Jayden Daniels era with a division win over the New York Giants. They won 21-6, and were in control of the game the entire time. Washington’s defense was an issue last year, but they made several upgrades during the offseason, and didn’t allow a touchdown. Penalties were a problem, and that’s some of the sloppiness that Quinn and Daniels talked about after the game
The Commanders are now preparing for a short week where they have to travel to Green Bay to play the Packers on Thursday Night Football. The Packers also had a division game today, and also dominated their opponent, beating the Lions 27-13. The Packers are Super Bowl contenders, and this will be Washington’s first big rest of the season.
