Red CentreNATS has wrapped up its 11th year in Alice Springs as organisers confirm the motoring festival will continue until at least 2030.

The Northern Territory Major Events Company (NTMEC) and Summernats, the parent company of Red CentreNATS, have announced a five-year extension that organisers say allows for long-term planning.

Summernats chief executive Andy Lopez said the commitment would help the event to keep growing.

"Where we see Red CentreNats in five years is true to its heart, true to its humble beginnings back in 2015, but to have evolved into a major tourism and destination event for not just the automotive community, but for the wider festival community," he said.
