SARASOTA, Fla. (WWSB) - Heavy rain is going to stick around for much of Florida this week, with the chance for some downpours lasting through midweek. A stalled weather system over the state, along with a slow-moving front, is helping to keep all that tropical moisture in place.

The setup looks a lot like last week. A cold front is slowly sliding south and will likely stall out over southern Florida by the end of the week. That means a steady stream of tropical air will keep fueling storms, and a weak low in the Gulf will draw even more moisture our way.
