Kellogg Community College will host a piano recital featuring faculty and guest artists.
The event, titled “Favorites Old and New,” will take place at 3 p.m. Sept. 14 in the Davidson Visual and Performing Arts Center auditorium, 450 North Ave., Battle Creek. The recital is free and open to the public, according to a community announcement.
The program will showcase a variety of musical styles performed by faculty pianist Paula Harris and guest pianist Joan King. Pieces include “Sonata for Two Keyboards Four Hands” by Wilhelm Friedemann Bach, “Ain’t Misbehavin’” by Fats Waller and “Cheek to Cheek” by Irving Berlin.
Other selections feature “Suite No. 1 Fantasie Tableaux” by Sergei Rachmaninoff, “The Garden of Eden Rags” by William Bolcolm and “Scaramouche” by Darius Milhaud. The recital
