One person suffered minor injuries Sunday, Sept. 7, when a small plane crashed into trees in Manistee County, the Manistee County Sheriff's Office said.

A 49-year-old Beulah woman was evaluated at the scene Sunday by MMR EMS after complaining of leg pain and possible loss of consciousness. She was not transported to a hospital, Manistee County Sheriff Brian Gutowski said in a Sept. 8 release.

The 53-year-old pilot, also a Beulah resident, was uninjured police said.

Police did not identify either occupant of the plane.

A plane with a matching tail number, N40DT, is identified as an amateur-built "experimental" Cub Crafters kit aircraft registered to Beulah resident David Terhaar. The plane, the registry says, was issued its airworthiness certificate in July 2025.
