As fall brings cooler days to Northern Michigan and the Upper Peninsula, residents may recall times during the summer when it felt like 100 degrees or so. But the regions never actually reached 100 degrees this summer.

Some of Michigan's northern locations did see temperatures up to the mid-90s this summer — and a lot of humidity that made it feel even worse, but no triple-digit weather, local National Weather Service offices reported.

Much of the peak heat around the state came in late June, in the early part of summer, according to the weather agency.
