The Dumfries branch of Bodycare has closed after high street chain was plunged into administration. ‌

It’s one of 32 stores across the country which has closed, with around 450 members of staff being made redundant. ‌

The High Street store was one of nearly 150 shops run by Bodycare, which sold health and beauty products as well as fragrances and bathroom consumables. ‌

The firm – trading as GR and MM Blackledge plc – appointed Interpath as administrators on Friday after running into financial difficulties.
