Looks like some lawmakers will make yet another return to Legislative Hall before the next session begins.

Democratic leadership from the Delaware Senate and House of Representatives created nonpartisan special committees to evaluate the latest property reassessment and whether “additional legislative action” is needed to provide tax relief and enhance the overall process.

The committees will hold a string of public meetings from October to November. Discussion will dive into the methodology used by Tyler Technologies, how this process has played out in other states, the continued potential for different tax rates based on property type and more.
