The first week of the 2025 NFL season is nearly in the books, but one matchup is still yet to be played.

The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings are set to conclude NFL Week 1 as the NFC North rivals do battle during ESPN's first "Monday Night Football" broadcast of the new season.

Ben Johnson will be making his regular-season Bears coaching debut on Monday. The 39-year-old was hired away from the Detroit Lions after a successful three-year stint as the team's offensive coordinator. Johnson will be tasked with around a sputtering Chicago offense and get the most out of Caleb Williams, the No. 1 overall pick in the 2024 NFL Draft.

Meanwhile, the Vikings are undergoing a shift of their own. They are installing J.J. McCarthy, another 2024 first-round pick, as their starting quarterback. The 22-year-old Michigan product will replace Sam Darnold, who helped lead Minnesota to a 14-3 record during his career-best season before falling flat in the final two games of the Vikings season.

The Bears and Vikings game will kick off at 8:15 p.m. ET on Monday, Sept. 8. The divisional clash will wrap up Week 1 of the 2025 NFL season and will be played at Soldier Field, the home of the Bears.
