LEXINGTON, Ky. (FOX 56) — Lexington police responded to an overnight officer-involved shooting just off Richmond Road.

FOX 56 was told at the scene that the scene on Lakeshore Drive has been active all morning.

Kentucky State Police arrived on the scene Monday morning, and Lakeshore Drive has been blocked off with crime scene tape.

Authorities told FOX 56 that residents have been allowed to leave Lakeshore Drive.

The police have been lined up in front of The Life at Lexington Square apartment complex, and according to a 5 a.m. post on Facebook, the Lexington Police Department is investigating an officer-involved shooting.

Details are very limited as the investigation is ongoing, but the police confirmed that no injuries have been reported in connection with the shooting.
