The highlight game of the 2025 FCS regular season produced a highlight finish, as South Dakota State stopped Montana State on a 4th and one run in double-overtime to secure a Jackrabbits road win in Bozeman.

After an offseason that saw their head coach leave and take 25 players to Washington State, SDSU is off to a 2-0 start and appears to have closed the gap on top ranked North Dakota State.

Meanwhile, Montana State and South Dakota have some hard questions to ask. The Bobcats have lost to Oregon and SDSU, but USD's blowout loss to Iowa State was followed up with an offensive clunker and loss at Lamar.

The Coyotes have mustered just 20 points in their first two games.

On the flip side, there were a couple of impressive wins, Tennessee Tech and West Georgia both picked up nice victorie
