COLUMBIA, S.C. — Cooler and drier air is moving into the region to start the week, bringing a noticeable change from the recent warm and humid conditions. High pressure settling in from the north will keep skies mainly dry and provide a refreshing break through the first half of the week.

While the air will feel crisp at times, the breeze could pick up during the afternoons, making it feel even cooler, especially near open areas and lakes where waters may be a bit choppy.

Tuesday looks to be the coolest day of the week. While most areas will stay dry, there is a small chance for a light passing shower in spots east of I-95. Even with that slim chance, most of the day should feature a mix of clouds and sunshine.
