She described her gender expression as ‘expansive’, stating she was ‘somewhere in the middle’ of a man and a woman.

In Rolling Stone, the Current Affairs singer, 28, revealed that Chappell, 27, had reached out and asked ‘So, are you nonbinary now?’.

However, this sparked huge discourse and backlash online, directed at The Subway hitmaker for being inappropriate with her seemingly blunt tone.
