One supermarket has reclaimed the top spot as the 'UK's cheapest supermarket', according to the monthly price comparison conducted by Which?

Each month the consumer watchdog compares thousands of prices at eight of the UK's major supermarkets - Aldi , Asda , Lidl , Morrisons , Ocado, Sainsbury’s , Tesco and Waitrose . Which? then ranks each supermarket by their average cost after purchasing the same items across the included stores.

For supermarkets with loyalty schemes such as Tesco's Clubcard and Morrisons' More card, Which? also compiles separate rankings, so shoppers can see what they would spend at the store with and without a loyalty card.

But while one shop lost its usual ranking of 'UK's cheapest supermarket' in July, Which? has now revealed the store has reclaimed
