A Massachusetts State Lottery player won a $1 million prize in the lottery ’s “ Fabulous Fortune ” game, cashing in 1 in 1.68 million odds to win the second-largest prize available in the game.
A trust claimed the prize on behalf of the lottery player, who won the prize on a $10 ticket they bought at a 7-Eleven in Quincy.
The trust, represented by trustee Judith Flynn, opted to accept the prize as a one-time payment of $650,000 before taxes. They could have opted to receive the prize in the form of $50,000 annual payments for 20 years.
The 7-Eleven on Washington Street in Quincy will get a $10,000 bonus for selling the winning ticket.
