TYLER, Texas — A man was found guilty Monday of murder for shooting and killing a Tyler taqueria owner last October following jury deliberations.
Scotty Lee Goble, of Frost, was convicted of murder in the death of Heriberto “Eddie” Ramirez Jr., 38, of Tyler. Ramirez, co-owner of Junior’s Taqueria, was shot in the restaurant’s parking lot on Oct. 11, 2024. Goble pleaded not guilty on Aug. 26, and his attorneys argued self-defense.
On Monday, the ninth day of trial, attorneys presented their closing arguments before the jury began deliberations. Jurors deliberated for about six and half hours.
The sentencing phase will begin Tuesday morning.
