EDMONDS, Wash. — A man was arrested for attempted murder after violently assaulting two employees at an Edmonds massage business Sunday evening, according to the Edmonds Police Department (EPD).

The 48-year-old suspect refused to appear in court for his bail hearing on Monday; he is being held on two counts of attempted murder.

Court documents share details of the Sunday incident.

The suspect arrived at the massage business on Edmonds Way at around 5:45 p.m. on Sunday. The employee out front recognized the man as a former customer.

The woman retreated as the man entered the business and proceeded to lock the door behind him, according to EPD. The suspect started to attack that woman as she fled to a back room where her coworker was with a customer.
