Spirit Airlines travelers will soon have fewer routes available to them as the budget airline has announced plans to suspend service in 11 U.S. cities. The decision comes as the company continues to navigate the Chapter 11 bankruptcy process.
According to USA Today, starting on Oct. 2, the airline will suspend service to and from:
Albuquerque, New Mexico (ABQ)
Birmingham, Alabama (BHM)
Boise, Idaho (BOI)
Chattanooga, Tennessee (CHA)
Columbia, South Carolina (CAE)
Oakland, California (OAK)
Portland, Oregon (PDX)
Sacramento, California (SMF)
Salt Lake City (SLC)
San Diego (SAN)
San Jose, California (SJC)
Depending on the airport, Spirit’s website is still offering service to or from the destinations on Oct. 3 and Oct.4, but no flights appear to be available after that.
