A mum has been punched in the face while she was in a park in Middlesbrough with her children. Police are appealing for information and any witnesses following an assault in Albert Park .

The incident occurred between 4.45pm and 5.15pm on August 9, when the mother and her two children were in the park, close to the central fountain. It was reported that an altercation has occurred and the mother was punched in the face multiple times, kicked in the stomach and had her hair pulled by an unknown woman.

One of the children attempted to help but was elbowed in the face by the suspect. The suspect is described as a white female, in her late 30s to early 40s, with dark brown hair which was worn down.
