That most certainly was the case Sunday morning, when folks across Minnesota woke up to learn that they were not one of the two people who matched the winning numbers to split a near-record Powerball jackpot.
Failing to win the BIG one, while a significant and serious bummer, does not mean that all players went home with empty pockets. The Minnesota Lottery says four tickets sold at outlets across the state matched enough numbers to earn the person holding them a pocket full of cash.
Three tickets worth a cool $50,000 were purchased at these locations.
