KNOXVILLE, Tenn. (WATE) — As Tennessee gets ready to face the Bulldogs on Saturday, Head Coach Josh Huepel is looking ahead to Saturday's SEC opener vs. Georgia inside Neyland Stadium.
The Volunteers will be looking for their first win against Georgia since 2016, when the team beat UGA 34 to 31. Both teams are headed into the game 2-0, and it will be the first SEC matchup of the season for both teams. Overall, the Vols have won 23 games, lost 29 games and tied two games against Georgia since 1899.
Heupel is set to talk to the media at 12:15 p.m. to preview the matchup. Tennessee is ranked at No. 15 in both the Associated Press Top 25 and AFCA Coaches poll. The team was the highest riser in the AP Top 25, climbing seven spots.
