A senior Scots transport cop has been banned from the force after he sexually assaulted two work colleagues .

Inspector Ryan Tierney was hauled in front of a British Transport Police misconduct hearing last month where he answered allegations that he breached the standards of professional behaviour.

The disgraced inspector faced three allegations that were proven by the Independent Panel, reports the Daily Record .

The panel heard that Inspector Tierney was off-duty on a Christmas night with around 30 to 40 CID staff in Glasgow in December 2016.

They heard from evidence given by a female officer known as Colleague 1.
