LINCOLN, Neb. (KLKN) – The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is staying closed this week following a fire at its building on Sunday.

In an update Monday , officials said the fire, which started in a dumpster, caused “heavy smoke damage” at the store near 56th Street and Nebraska Parkway.

“For the safety of our staff, volunteers, and customers, the Lincoln Habitat ReStore will remain closed this coming week while we clean and assess the situation,” officials said.
