The statue is about 30m tall , and the plane has been carefully designed to be the same size as a Lancaster Bomber. It is hoped the site will be a place where people can remember those involved and learn more about the history .
An update shared by On Freedom's Wings on Monday, September 8, asked people not to visit yet as there is still work to be done. The update states: "Thank you for all your support. Although the site was opened briefly yesterday to allow those gathered to enjoy it, it is still a construction site.
"It will be proper
