Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis announced a new Second Amendment sales tax holiday starting Monday and running through the end of the year.

The tax holiday covers firearms, ammunition, bows, crossbows, accessories, as well as fishing and camping gear.

The governor emphasized the importance of supporting Second Amendment rights, criticizing Florida Democratic Party Chair Nikki Fried for her stance.

“She didn’t believe in the Second Amendment,” he said, highlighting the contrast with his administration’s policies.

DeSantis introduced Lieutenant Governor Jay Collins, a former Green Beret and Florida Senate member who championed constitutional carry legislation in the state.
