The San Francisco 49ers have brought wide receiver Kendrick Bourne back following key injuries in their receiving corps.

The Niners lost George Kittle and Jauan Jennings to injuries during their Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks. They have since fashioned a reunion with Bourne, who started his NFL career with them in 2019.

Bourne played in San Francisco for four seasons, recording 137 receptions for 1,769 yards and 11 touchdowns before signing with the New England Patriots in 2021. He visited his old team, as well as the Washington Commanders, after he was released by the Pats during the offseason and is now back where it all started, per NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport.
