1. Special School District reassigned teachers to north St. Louis County. Half of them quit
The Special School District of St. Louis County said it would relocate 36 teachers from south and west St. Louis County to North County districts. But more than half of the teachers quit or retired instead.
The Special School District said the move was to address high vacancy rates and equity issues.
