PORT CLINTON, Ohio —

An Ohio man has been sentenced to 10 years in prison after threatening to kill legal officials, including his lawyer and judge, according to Ohio Attorney General David Yost.

In a press release, Yost's office says Eric Braun, 49, of Bellevue, Ohio, was initially charged for a road rage incident that happened in February 2023. Braun was charged in Ottawa County, the AG's office says, with improperly handling firearms in a motor vehicle (fourth-degree felony) and aggravated menacing (first-degree misdemeanor). Yost's office says during the criminal proceedings, Braun threatened to kill his attorney, the judge, the assigned prosecutor and the elected prosecuting attorney.
