Sixteen people across the United States were sickened in a salmonella outbreak linked to certain home delivery meals, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention said Friday.
The CDC issued an alert, saying salmonella infections have been connected to several home delivery meals distributed by the company Metabolic Meals.
People who received the following meals during the week of July 28 were urged not to eat them:
Sixteen cases, which included seven hospitalizations, were reported in 10 states, though officials said the number of sickened individuals could be higher. People who became ill reported eating the above ready-to-eat, home delivery meals.
