A new artwork has been unveiled to celebrate Glasgow ’s 850th anniversary.
The work, by Glasgow-born artist Dr Edward H. Chisnall, is titled ‘Ghlaschu 850’, and features a collage of Glasgow’s landmarks, characters, and innovations. 500 copies of the work have been produced as A2 posters, each hand-signed by author and broadcaster Dr. Chisnall.
All proceeds from the sales will go to the Lord Provost’s Charity Fund, supporting good causes across the city. Dr. Chisnall is a well-respected figure in Glasgow’s cultural heritage . Born in the city in the 1940s, he has spent his life chronicling its stories through art, radio, and print.
