In an announcement that will devastate fans of Edinburgh Zoo's Haggis the Hippo , the adorable pygmy is set to move to a new home away from Scotland's capital.
The Royal Zoological Society of Scotland (RZSS) has confirmed that Haggis will be leaving next month, as she approaches her first birthday. According to the zoo, pygmy hippos typically leave their home at around one year old, and she is already beginning to distance herself from her mum Gloria.
The last day to see Haggis, dubbed the ' Scottish Moo Deng ', will be Sunday, October 26. She will then be moved to another zoo in the UK.
