This Saturday, 307 Outlaw Streets will be hosting its second and final drag race of the year.

After the first race in August drew a much larger crowd than the organizers were expecting, they have been working to make some improvements ahead of Saturday’s race.

Zac Clymer, one of the event organizers, said there were 98 cars registered for the August races, and there were between 1,000 and 1,500 people in attendance.

“It kind of blew our expectations out of the water,” Clymer said. “Five hundred people would’ve been a good turnout, is what we were thinking, and we had over a thousand, so that was pretty awesome.”

As of Friday afternoon, there were 42 cars registered for the event. That number will likely double by the day of the race, Clymer said.
