FORT COVINGTON, N.Y. (WWTI) - A 32-year-old Fort Covington woman is facing charges for allegedly sexually abusing a child.

According to New York State Police, they were informed on Sunday afternoon about an incident regarding past sexual abuse of a child.

A subsequent investigation allegedly determined Jennilee Wylie allegedly had repeated sexual intercourse with a child under the age of 17, over the course of two years, while in the town of Fort Covington.

Wylie was charged with third-degree rape. She was was arrested and transported to the state police headquarters in Malone for processing.

Wylie was arraigned in the Town of Malone Court, where she was released to the supervision of the Probation Department.
