Shots were fired overnight in Surrey, damaging a vehicle parked outside a home.

Surrey Police said they were notified about shots fired near a home in the 5800-block of 124 Street just after 4 a.m. on Monday.

A police statement said the vehicle had damage consistent with gunshots.

Investigators spoke to residents in the area but there were no injuries reported. Police remain at the scene late Monday morning and will be working to collect any surveillance footage.

No motive has been determined and police are looking at possible connections to other recent shootings in Surrey.
