CRESWELL, Ore. - A unique gathering took place Sunday at Hobby Field in Creswell, where the Women of American Muscle Club hosted a special visit from "Rosie the Riveters."
The Sept. 7 event saw the group posing with their impressive lineup of muscle cars and airplanes. Organizers emphasized the significant role that the strength and bravery of Rosie the Riveters have played in shaping gender roles and enabling clubs like theirs to thrive.
"Part of it is what the Rosies stand for and what it means to be a woman and step out and do the hard things and support each other," said Annie Nelson from the Women of American Muscle Club.
